Independent journalist, editor and documentarian based out of Bhubaneswar, capital of the eastern Indian State of Odisha, I specialize in science, environmental and developmental journalism and write on biodiversity, ecosystem services, agriculture, food systems, health, nutrition and sustainable development in the wake of climate change. Freelancing since September 2015, I worked as editor-in-chief of Odia TV news channel 'Naxatra News', executive editor of Odia daily 'Aromv', and state correspondent for 'India News' (Hindi) and 'NewsX' (English) channels, in the recent past. A professional member of Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) and International Science Writers Association (ISWA), my works have brought to me Laadli Media and Advertising Award for Gender Sensitivity (LMAAGS)-2017 for Best Web Feature (English) from Eastern India, Media Excellence Award-2017 as Best Web Journalist of Odisha, and Odisha Media Award-2015 for Environmental Reporting.
